My Approach

During our intake session, I always like to hear about your past experiences with therapy. If you've tried things in the past, it's important to me to understand what worked well for you and what didn't. Let's face it, sometimes therapy just doesn't hit the mark, and that's okay!

From there, I tend to lean in with an eclectic approach to therapy as a starting point, as I don't always align with a "one size fits all" approach.

I employ a collaborative blend of evidence-based treatment models such as:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  •  Motivational Interviewing (MI)

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

  • Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Although I naturally tend towards an eclectic approach, if you prefer or find that a specific therapeutic modality resonates best with you, I'm fully open to focusing on that approach during our sessions. Your comfort and progress are my priorities, and I'm committed to tailoring our therapeutic approach to best meet your needs and preferences. There also may be times where I indicate that I feel one approach may be clinically best fit, and we can discuss how that looks collaborativly!

In addition to my Masters in Social Work (MSW), and clinical social work license (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts), I have the following certifications:

  • Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Professional (C-DBT)

  • Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP)

  • Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP)

  • Certified Grief Informed Professional (CGP)
